BALTIMORE - Sylvan Learning is continuing to expand in Texas. The education provider recently awarded two territories in Bulverde and San Antonio to Joan Lovin, an existing franchise owner with four other territories in Texas. Lovin will assume ownership of two existing centers and open another within the two territories.
Lovin is an educator by trade and worked at several Sylvan centers before holding a center director position in North Central San Antonio. That center ended up being the catalyst to her multi-center growth trajectory.
“I acquired the North Central San Antonio center as my first location then grew from there,” said Lovin. “I’ve always had a passion for education and business, and Sylvan allows me to marry the two.”
Sylvan Learning serves as a key resource for students nationwide as they work to recover from pandemic-related learning loss.
“Joan exemplifies what it takes to be a successful franchise owner,” said Jeff Stephenson, Vice President of Franchise Development at Sylvan. “She believes in our mission, is passionate about helping students succeed and has the business acumen to grow. It’s been a pleasure watching her carve out her influence in the San Antonio area, and we look forward to supporting her on her career path with Sylvan.”
